Dr Alex McGrath
Caring for animals has been a lifelong passion for Alex, and being a vet has always been her dream. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2014 and has since completed her membership qualifications in small animal radiology.  Since then, Alex has worked in general practice, emergency practice and a number of voluntary settings.

Her special interests include ultrasound examinations, intricate surgical work that requires an eye for detail and building the team of dreams that is Glebe Vet.  She loves nothing more than to support other animal-loving people to succeed in a career of animal care

Dr Shuting Jin
Shuting graduated from The University of Queensland in 2017. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency and critical care at Sydney Veterinary Emergency and Specialists, and worked in emergency practice and at a busy Inner West practice prior to joining the team at Glebe.

Shuting’s special interests include radiology, dentistry, and geriatric medicine. She finds it especially rewarding to work with senior pets, who often have multiple conditions making their care challenging and complex. Shuting obtained her Membership qualifications in Small Animal Radiology and is undertaking Membership in Small Animal Dentistry.

In her spare time, Shuting can be found gardening, running, and snorkelling. Her fur family includes Teddy, a senior Netherland Dwarf, and Margot, a fluffy English Angora.

Veterinary Nurse

Having grown up locally surrounded by different types of pets, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. Graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science major in Biology degree, I started working as a Veterinary nurse to get my foot in the door and grab that experience first hand working with animals. Once I started to learn the ins and outs of the job, I instantly fell in love with the veterinary industry! It is such a rewarding experience helping patients when they’re healthy or sick and seeing their owners so grateful for everything we do. Going on 10 years in the industry, I couldn’t see myself anywhere else. If I’m not seen at work then I am a busy mum of two young girls who like to keep me on my toes!!!
